On the first Information tab, you need to fill in a general details :

Associate with a portfolio: by activating this tick, you can synchronise the scope to which the workflow applies with a portfolio's one (global portfolio, for example).

Name, enter the name of the matrix here.
Description, used to add additional information to the matrix.
Application of rules / Default number of approval levels, used to define the default minimum or maximum number of approvals :
- Default number of minimum approval levels : For example 1, which allows you to define a different number of approvals depending on a threshold (which can be set on the next tab).
  Example : Approval of capex lines by default with 1 approval level, but if the amount exceeds €100,000 then 2 approval levels are required.
- Maximum number of approval levels by default : For example 2, which allows you to define a different number of approvals depending on a threshold (which can be set on the next tab).
  Example : Approval of capex lines by default with 2 levels of approval, but if the amount is less than €100,000 then 1 level of approval is sufficient.
